Rachel & Aaron’s Summer Wedding Celebration

We were delighted when Rachel and Aaron asked us to help them with their wedding at their family ranch in the Santa Cruz mountains. Both Rachel and Aaron wanted the day to be whimsical and fun for all of their guests.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was held on the banks of the ranch’s lake with guests sitting on distressed wooden benches with large colorful pillows and paper parasols.

The Reception

An old restored barn served as the perfect setting for a family-style farmers market inspired meal.

We decided that a shabby chic style would suit both the formality of the occasion as well as the casual nature of the location. We set long guest tables with plum nubby linens and French vintage chairs. The rafters where strung with hundreds of sparkling market lights. Lush flower arrangements of dahlias, parrot tulips, herbs and wild flowers completed the look.

Outside of the barn we placed overstuffed couches and chairs and even brought in a big fire pit, S’mores supplies and some vintages scotches, the grooms favorite, so that the party could go on into the wee hours of the night.
